Was reading hebbas blog, and read her links to the apple student forum thing, where the word "goddammit" was deemed offensive, yet the person who found it offensive used "bloody" in the very next sentence. Just makes me laugh... I mean theres noway on the internet you can define what words are 'unappropriate', especially with the mix of people,races,backgrounds. Reminds me of a few months back in Australia when there was a TV word that used the word "bugger". To me the word "bugger" isnt bad, it kinda means damn, or shit or crikey.. i.e somthing bad happens, you would say bugger... But if you look it up in a dictionary, bugger actually means to sodomise or sodomy... form dictionary.com sodomy means "Any of various forms of sexual intercourse held to be unnatural or abnormal, especially anal intercourse or bestiality." *laughing*... so of course there was some big media issues about using the word bugger, and in the end nothing happened and all us aussies still say 'bugger" when somthing dodgy happens...
bleh... its silly...

ha ha, 11:30pm, saturday night, and im sure this street is the only one in rocky where i can be playing Peral Jam at crazy levels... Neighbours over the road are having some kinda of bash... so its a bit noisy... which i dont mind...

I should really be over there scoping out the female american accents that seem to be wafting over from there, but really im not one for big do's.... or maybe i am, but in not in the mood at the moment... hrmmmm, bleh i dont know.

Still eating red apples... damn they are good... i dont know how long this apple eating thing will last, but its cool...as long as they are juicy and crisp..

One thing ive noticed is that when people have problems in relationships its has a common theme... on varying levels of course, and im not trying to generalise the whole relationship thing, but i think there is definately something there that involves one person doing things to get the other person to react. Really that doesnt make sense to me, Well i guess it does, after being in the position, but know i can see it coming from a mile away, and really it doesnt work. Sure in some ways it might look like it, but ultimately it will just backfire. I fingue the best thing to do when people are like that is not to react at all. Dont fuel the fire... bleh.. i dunno... reflecting... ha ha

ICQ is slow tonight, but i guess at this time its always slow... Just finished watching conspiracy theory on tv, i like that movie... im always ready for a good conspiracy :)

Finished the crystal reports training today... so ive got a head full of report making stuff... im guess crystal reports would be good for big business or anyway who likes their reports... hrmmm, oh well.

Still havnt heard about my PHD, but i can wait. Ive been reading more conference papers, wadeing through 3 books full of them, trying to get up to speed on the broad area of groupware. So far the stuff ive read is really interesting...

SportsDraw is looking good... After playing with the UI for i dont know how long, i think ive got it figured. The stuff i need to be able to do it is in the next few chapters of the book im reading, so after i get through that it should be good. Im trying really hard at the moment to get it done and out there, ive got a good feeling about it.

Damn its hot here, Rockhampton is a sweaty place... but i guess you get tht in the tropics... I had a flat inspecton today, and the chick that did it had a whinge about the grass being brown... I asked her to have a look around, every other place has brown 'grass', and its not from lack of water... I water mine every few days, but it just doesnt do anything... the only place that is green is above all the underground pipes, it looks kinda weird as i have green strips on my front yard.. he he, i need to take a photo.... i think theres somthign going on with the pipes underground... hrmmmm..

Im in an apple eating mood lately, went through 5 apples yesterday, and bought another 9 today... Im hoping theres nothing wrong with eating lots of red, crunchy, juicy, cold apples *crunch crunch*

My boss rang me up today, and was kinda miffed that he didnt know i was trainging... he didnt say anything but he was kinda blunt... not that it worries me, hell i didnt know i wasa training until the afternoon before, and i figure if the bosses cant communicate to each other then who am i to interfere. He was asking me if id done any work on a VB app he quoted on, i said not really as all i have is an illegal copy of VS6, which i dont want to use, he agreed and said hed try to get a copy form the brisbane office, which should be interesting as getting stuff from the brisbane office is like pulling teeth... sheesh..

Anyway he was asking if the stuff could be done, and i got to thinking why he had already quoted a time and price for the job, when really he doesnt even know if we can do it... that sort of stuff really worries me, especially since im the one that gets stuck doing it... blah blah..

ITS FRIDAY!!!, yup, another weekend... damn i like friday afternoons... it always seems to be cooler and stuff... plus it means i get 2 days off work, and can actually do some of my own work...

mmm, anyway... i think ill get an apple....

Been doing some Crystal Reports training, got asked if i wanted to sit in on a course, so of course i said yes. I figure it will look good on my resume.

Havnt done much cocoa lately, been busy. Not much else is happening. I should find out in the next few days if i got the PHD funded position, the research comitte had a meeting today to discuss that sort of stuff, so i just wait a bit longer.

mmm, i need to read my daily news sites, i missed out this morning... training is good though, learning new stuff is good...

Just paid another months rent... yay... been doing lots of cocoa, flying through it. The sportsdraw app is going well too, got a rough object diagram done and have started implementing the classes. The hardest part if getting the base done... and if its not right the rest will screw up. hrmmm, but anyway...

Finished jedi knight II, its really good. Gets hard though...

Got a call from another place in melbourne, about another job i applied for. They are arrangeing a phone interview for me, so ill see what happens. The bloke asked me how much commercial mac programming experience i had, and of course i said none... he kinda laughed and said it would be hard to get it, and i agreed... Its true though... i wont have commercial experience until someone hires me, or i sell somthing i write. sheesh... Its weird though, i thought the fact that i do it in my spare time would mean a lot. Especially since im doing stuff and not just dicking around... hrmmm, anyway, ill see what happens.

My younger sister is getting her wisdom teeth pulled out today, im guessing she will be a bit sore for a while... *shivers* i wouldnt like to be having it done.

mmm, anyway, back to cocoa.... :)
